MG RX-78-2 Gundam Ver. 2.0

The MG RX-78-2 Gundam Ver. 2.0 aims to replicate the clean, rounded look of the original anime, but hides a complete, highly articulated frame beneath its armor. Once assembled, it stands approximately 18 cm tall. It includes a Beam Rifle with Super Napalm, Hyper Bazooka, shield, Gundam Hammer, Beam Javelin, two Beam Sabers, a transformable Core Fighter, and Amuro figures. The RX-78-2 debuts in episode 1, "Gundam Rising," of Mobile Suit Gundam, when Amuro Ray activates it during the attack on Side 7. Interestingly, this 2.0 version was designed as a direct tribute to the 1979 animation rather than a panel-heavy reinterpretation; that is why its exterior appears simple while the internal engineering is much more modern. The knees, hips, and shoulders allow for natural poses, and the Core Fighter fits in without obstructing the torso. It is an ideal MG for those who prefer the classic Gundam just as it appeared on screen, with plenty of weapons for varied display options and broad surfaces that accommodate both a clean finish and soft shading.
