HG RX-78-02 Gundam The Origin Ver.

The RX-78-02 from The Origin takes the classic Gundam and adds a more military flair, with panel lines, abundant weaponry, and two configurations to represent its Early and Middle Type stages. Once assembled, it stands about 12.5 cm tall. It includes a Beam Rifle, Hyper Bazooka, shield, two Beam Sabers, a shoulder cannon, and a forearm missile launcher, as well as alternative parts to change details on the torso and shoulders. Although it shares the same protagonist as the RX-78-2 from the original series, this specific version originates from Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin and does not have its own debut episode in the anime; the design comes primarily from Yoshikazu Yasuhiko's manga. Interestingly, the ability to choose between two states of the same mobile suit turns the assembly into a small display decision, rather than just a weapon swap. Its modern articulation and variety of accessories make it work just as well as a first detailed HG as it does for those who want a version of the original Gundam with a more technical finish.
