HG Gundam Barbatos

The Gundam Barbatos was designed for close-quarters combat, and this HG model captures its agile, almost skeletal look very well. Once assembled, it stands around 12.5 cm tall and reveals a good portion of the Gundam Frame beneath its white, blue, red, and yellow armor. It includes its massive mace and sword, two simple yet highly recognizable weapons that allow for a transition from a heavy pose to a much faster one. The shoulder, waist, and leg joints take advantage of the internal structure to achieve wide poses without losing the character's silhouette. Its first animated appearance occurs in episode 1 of Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, titled “Iron and Blood,” when Mikazuki Augus powers it up to defend the CGS. As a fun fact, the Barbatos is one of the 72 Gundam Frames created during the Calamity War; centuries later, it was found buried and used by the CGS as a power source before returning it to combat. This kit represents its fourth form, the classic image from the first season, and is a very rewarding entry point into the Post Disaster universe.
