One Piece Going Merry

The Going Merry was the Straw Hats' first ship, and this Grand Ship Collection version condenses all its charm into a model about 15 cm long. The ram-shaped bow, sails, cannons, and deck are well-defined, while the sea-effect base allows it to be displayed as if it were sailing toward the next island. It includes stickers for the insignias and details that speed up the finishing process without obscuring the main shapes of the hull. The ship appears for the first time in episode 17 of One Piece, “Anger Explosion! Kuro vs. Luffy! How It Ends!”, as a gift from Kaya after the battle in Syrup Village. As a fun fact, the Merry ended up becoming one more member of the crew: its bond with them is so strong that it stars in one of the most emotional moments of the entire series. The compact size makes it easy to place alongside other ships in the collection, yet it retains enough features to recognize every corner that accompanied Luffy and company from the East Blue to Water 7.
