MG RX-78-2 Gundam Ver. 3.0

The MG RX-78-2 Gundam Ver. 3.0 combines the look of the full-scale Odaiba Gundam with a 1/100 scale build full of moving panels and subtle shifts in tone. Standing around 18 cm tall once assembled, its armor slides along with the internal frame when flexing the arms and legs, creating a very distinct mechanical feel. It includes a beam rifle, bazooka, shield, two beam sabers, and a transformable Core Fighter, as well as decals and clear parts for fine details. The RX-78-2 makes its debut in episode 1 of Mobile Suit Gundam, "Gundam Rising," when Amuro Ray activates it at Side 7. As a fun fact, the Ver. 3.0 was born in 2013, the same year the MG line celebrated its coming of age, and brought many of the proportions and markings of the giant Gundam to the home model kit format. It is a denser build than a High Grade, but it rewards patience with layering, color separation, and a technological presence that is appreciable even without paint.
