HG RX-78-2 Gundam Beyond Global

The RX-78-2 Gundam Beyond Global celebrates 40 years of Gunpla with a more stylized, highly mobile, and surprisingly clean 1/144 revision. Once assembled, it stands around 12.5 cm tall and features a construction designed to expand the range of motion in the shoulders, hips, and ankles without filling the body with unnecessary cuts. It includes a beam rifle, two beam sabers, a shield, and hands to recreate the classic poses of the original Gundam. The RX-78-2 first appears in episode 1 of Mobile Suit Gundam, "Gundam Rising," when Amuro Ray enters the cockpit to defend Side 7. As a fun fact, Beyond Global is not intended to replace the classic HG: Bandai designed it as a commemorative interpretation that blends modern proportions with references to various historical versions of the RX-78-2. The result is an accessible, stable kit with an excellent range of articulation, ideal for beginners to Gunpla or for those who want to compare how the franchise's most famous design has evolved.
