HG MS-05S Char's Zaku I

The HG Char’s Zaku I dresses the veteran MS-05 in Char's personal red and features much more aggressive mobility than the standard version. Once assembled, it stands approximately 12.2 cm tall. It includes an anti-ship rifle, machine gun, Heat Hawk, bazooka, and hand parts for running, firing, or close-combat poses. The unit is seen in Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin III: Dawn of Rebellion, during Char's first steps as a Zeon pilot before receiving his Zaku II. As a curiosity, this machine already foreshadows the nickname "Red Comet": Char pushes an old model to perform beyond its limits and turns a technical limitation into part of his legend. The articulation allows for a very wide stride, and the red color works well with brown or dark gray panel lining. It looks especially good next to a green Zaku I to show how the same design changes with very few parts. On display, it reads well from various angles, and the accessories allow you to change the interpretation of the pose without making the setup look cluttered.
