HG Gundam Exia

The HG Gundam Exia brings Setsuna F. Seiei’s melee-focused Mobile Suit to 1/144 scale, featuring a slender silhouette and the signature GN conduits distributed across its body. Once assembled, it stands approximately 12.7 cm tall. It includes the GN Sword with rifle mode, GN Long Blade, GN Short Blade, shield, two Beam Sabers, and two Beam Daggers, allowing for a mix of rapid attacks and defensive poses. The Exia first appears in episode 1, “Celestial Being,” of Mobile Suit Gundam 00, during the intervention that introduces Celestial Being’s policy of armed intervention to the world. As a bit of trivia, its name comes from exousia, a Greek word related to authority, and its arsenal of seven swords foreshadows several of the configurations it would later receive. It is an older, simple kit, but it captures the agile look of Kanetake Ebikawa’s design very well. The transparent parts and cables stand out with minimal effort, while thin gray panel lining helps define the white armor without making the finish look too harsh.
